To separate the social castes, samurai were forced to reside in designated districts of the castle towns during the Edo Period.
Today, a few of these samurai districts remain preserved with their historic atmosphere of narrow lanes, earthen walls, entrance gates, and residences, and allow tourists to get a glimpse into the samurai lifestyle.

Day 10: Kyoto to Hiroshima
In the early morning, travel from Kyoto to Hiroshima (2 hours) and visit the Hiroshima Peace Park. In the afternoon, continue on to Miyajima, a small island less than an hour outside the city of Hiroshima. It is most famous for its giant torii gate, which at high tide seems to float on the water.visit Omotesando Arcade, Itsukushima Shrine Momijidani Park, Senjokaku Pavilion and overnight there.
Day 11:Day 11 - Miyajima to Tokyo
Get up early and spend a few more hours on Miyajima. post breakfast visit Himeji,Spend the afternoon exploring Himeji Castle.Return to Tokyo in the evening.
