There are two UNESCO World Heritage sites in Mauritius; Le Morne Cultural landscape, and Aapravasi Ghat. Le Morne Cultural landscape is situates in the Le Morne Barbant an isolated mountain that extended to the Indian ocean and was used as a refuge by the runaway slaves, and it is been told that those slaves tried to end their life while approached by the out side world after the abolition of the slavery in Mauritius post- independence.
Aapravasi ghat or Immigration Depot located in Port Louis Mauritius was the first British colony to receive contracted labor workforce from many countries from 1849 to 1923 more than half a million Indian contracted Labors passed through the Apravasi ghat and were transported to the sugar plantations throughout the British empire. The Large scale migration of laborers left an unforgettable mark on the societies of many former British colonies In Mauritius alone 68% of the current local population is of Indian ancestry. Apravasi Ghat thus become an important reference point for the History and cultural heritage of Mauritius In 2006 UNESCO declared This site a World Heritage site.
Mauritius is a warm tropical climate but October to December is the best time to travel, though April and May June you can travel too, with a few splashes of rain hear n here and rainbows- you will find Mauritius is a true Paradise.

After Breakfast explore the South of Mauritius island for a full day tour. After Breakfast today explore the sandy beaches and famouse lagoons of lleaux cerfs island and enjoy water activities, lle aux cerf is highly recomended for snorkling , enjoy a full day activity at the island and evening return to Hotel . overnight at hotel .
